NEW SERRA SALT PROCESSING LINE IN VENEZUELA
Serra has installed a new salt washing and refining line in Venezuela. The salt processing line has a capacity of 8 tons per hour with the options of extracting washing and/or centrifuge salt in different percentages.
The line starts with a washing system based on our washer cells for mixing the salt with the brine and open the salt cavities; our washer classifier for removing the soluble and insoluble; and our 2-stage pusher centrifuge for reducing the moisture and give a final wash to the salt.
After the centrifuge, the salt is crushed and dried in our fluid bed dryer specially designed for drying salt. Before entering the packing and bagging area, a sieve screen is installed to classify the products into powder, fine and coarse salt. The sieve screen is perfectly designed to separate the final products depending on its particle size. It is economical, has a low noise level and its maintenance is very simple. The meshes are exchangeable and personalized for the market requirements.
We would like to thank all the people involved in the project.
